AP Calculus References

AP Calculus AB and BC are one of the few APs that CollegeBoard does not provide a reference sheet for during the exam. Students are expected to memorize essential formulas and concepts; thus, it is useful to keep a sheet of important information while progressing through the course, whether that be a class at school or self-studying.

About this resource

This site provides two resources. The reference sheets contain formulas, concepts, and other things to remember for the exam. The class notes are notes I took for the course at school, and are longer than the reference sheets. Notes for Unit 10 (sequences and series) overlap in both resources.

Although they were created for the AP Calculus BC exam, they also contain the subset of information necessary for the AB exam, and can be used for help in either course. Note that these notes were not originally written with the intention of being used by a general audience, so feel free to ignore certain notes that might not make sense to you, or send an enquiry!

Reference sheets ("remember")

These reference sheets cover the formulas and concepts needed for the BC exam. A small number on the left indicates the unit intervals. Basic techniques like the power rule are not included, since mastery of these concepts are assumed. The first page is the one with “remember” written at the top, starting at unit 1.

Class notes

Although concise, these notes are still longer than the reference sheets, and are the notes I took for the course at school. It contains some material that goes beyond the AP curriculum, such as the ε-δ definition of a limit and antiderivatives for inverse trig functions other than arcsin and arctan. They are also organized by order covered in tests at my school, so it does not always follow the order of material as listed in the official CollegeBoard exam description
